Summer reading is required for students enrolled in AP English 11th and Dual Enrollment English 101/102.  All titles should be read by the first day of school, and students must be prepared for discussion and testing.  There is no summer reading requirement for grades 6-10 or other English courses in grades 11 and 12


11th AP and 12th Dual Enrollment students may select one of the following books:

  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey*
  • The Host by Stephenie Meyer
  • The King's Shadow by Elizabeth Alder
